Terms & Conditions

1) What BorealPath provides#

BorealPath provides career-intelligence and diagnostic tools, including structured assessments, generated summaries, result histories, and related account features. The Service is informational and analytical in nature. It does not provide legal, medical, mental health, tax, investment, or employment advice.

2) Account access and authentication#

Account access currently uses Google Sign-In. When you continue with Google, BorealPath may receive basic identity information needed to authenticate you, such as your email address, Google account identifier, and profile image if available. BorealPath then creates and manages its own application session for access to your dashboard, saved results, and related account features.

3) Saved diagnostics and result continuity#

If you sign in, BorealPath may associate your diagnostic activity, stored runs, summaries, and result history with your account so that your information can persist across sessions and devices. You are responsible for maintaining control over the Google account you use to access the Service.

4) Your content and permissions#

You are responsible for the information you submit to BorealPath, including diagnostic responses, contextual notes, and uploaded documents, including resumes. You represent that you have the right to submit that information and that doing so does not violate law, confidentiality obligations, employer policy, or third-party rights. If your resume names other individuals, you confirm you may share that information.

Do not submit highly sensitive, regulated, or confidential information unless you are expressly authorized to do so and it is necessary for the Service.

5) Acceptable use#

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer proprietary logic beyond what applicable law permits, or use the Service to develop a competing product or to test, probe, or exploit vulnerabilities.

6) Service outputs and limitations#

Diagnostic outputs, summaries, scores, and reports may include model-assisted or generated content. They may be incomplete, may reflect limited context, and may contain errors or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether and how to rely on them in your professional or personal decisions.

7) Intellectual property#

BorealPath and its underlying methodology, interface, scoring models, templates, reports, and related materials are owned by BorealPath or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, you may use outputs generated for you for your own internal, personal, or professional evaluation purposes.

8) Availability and changes#

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including features, authentication methods, workflows, and content, at any time. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

9) Privacy#

Your use of the Service is also governed by the BorealPath Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect account, diagnostic, session, and technical information.

10) Disclaimer of warranties#

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BorealPath disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11) Limitation of liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BorealPath will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, business opportunities, goodwill, or data arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12) Termination#

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, if required by law, or if doing so is necessary to protect the Service, other users, or BorealPath.

13) Governing law#

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
